TECHNOLOGY CENTER

Josephinum prepares students to be technology savvy and meet the current information-age demands of college and the real world with confidence and skill. We encourage girls to be leaders and innovators in a field that is constantly changing and offers tremendous opportunity.

Our faculty incorporates technology into their curricula to create an interactive and dynamic classroom. We support our teachers’ efforts to remain current with technology advances through professional development courses and in-service workshops.

We offer students basic computer courses that teach core software programs and typing skills they need to complete daily assignments and class projects. Our more advanced courses include web authoring, graphic design, and Flash presentations.

Our computer lab offers one online computer for every three students. Students are allowed to drop in to the computer lab before and after school, and during their free periods and lunches when the computer lab is available.

At Josephinum we use a values-based approach to education and stress the ethical use of computers and the internet.
