We are so excited to welcome you to Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heart! Here at 'The Jo', we provide exceptional education, a wide range of extracurricular opportunities, and the deep connections of sisterhood forged in our inclusive community. Together, we are cultivating the leaders, changemakers, and visionaries of tomorrow.

We know that for some families, the cost of full tuition can stretch resources beyond family budgets. Thanks to a generous community of supporters, we’re proud to work with each family to provide scholarships and financial aid to make Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heart accessible for each family.

Josephinum Academy students are transforming our world—now and in the future. They leave The Jo ready to excel in college, career, or something entirely new. Among our recent graduating classes, we've had:

• Scholars who received a Global Seal of Biliteracy based on AP Scores
• Received Gold Awards for FAFSA Completion 

Leadership and Internship Opportunities Available

While they are here, students serve their community and connect with their peers. Young leaders at The Jo are contributing to both our school and our city—and we are grateful for the ways they participate, both on and off campus. In the 2023-2024 school year, students completed and participated in: 

• Over 800 Service Hours
• Over 20 Clubs and Activities

Proud Democracy School

High-quality civic learning experiences allow young people to develop the knowledge, skills and dispositions that facilitate informed participation in public life. The Illinois Democracy Schools Initiative was launched to recognize and support high schools that are dedicated to expanding and improving civic learning experiences across the curriculum.
