Marlen Garcia, Admissions and Alumnae Relations Coordinator

Born and raised in the Windy City, Marlen obtained her Bachelor's degree from DePaul University in Liberal Arts and Sciences, majoring in Sociology and Spanish. While at DePaul, she travelled abroad to conduct a case study in Argentina on substance abuse in adolescence. Additionally, she interned at UIC and travelled to Croatia to present her findings on the effectiveness of civic engagement in the lives of youth. Marlen recently joined Josephinum from a career as a paralegal where she translated for Spanish speaking clients and assisted with their cases. Her love for education, diversity, and social justice brought her to The Jo. She hopes to share her passion for Josephinum Academy with you and encourage you to join our wonderful family!
