Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heart is committed to removing barriers and building a strong community by increasing access to a high-quality Sacred Heart education. Through the generosity of individual and corporate donors, we are honored to help over 90% of our families invest in their students’ futures.

We encourage families to pursue tuition assistance through external scholarships organizations such as: 

Big Shoulders Fund
Madonna Foundation
Daniel Murphy Scholars
HFS Chicago Scholars
LINK Unlimited Scholars

Families also greatly benefit by applying for a Big Shoulders Fund and/or Empower Illinois tax credit. 

In addition, Josephinum offers financial aid. If interested, please complete the FACTS financial aid form. Once complete, Josephinum will determine an aid package that fits your family’s needs and can discuss it with you during the admissions process.

Incoming Tuition and Fees

Tuition for new incoming students for the 2022-2023 school year is $9,350. 
(This reduction in tuition cost is a reflection of the current economic climate in order to offer relief to incoming families.)

Tuition for the 2022-2023 school year for a new incoming international student is $19,100.

A non-refundable enrollment fee of $225 is required for both new and returning students.

Tuition Assistance

Josephinum relies on the generosity of individuals and corporate funding to help us achieve our mission of providing a dynamic college-preparatory education at an affordable cost for all students and their families. Through our tuition assistance programs, we are honored to help over 90% of our families invest in their students' futures. Josephinum believes that every student should have access to an excellent college-preparatory education, one that prepares them for success through high school and beyond.
Incoming students are encouraged to apply for tuition assistance through external scholarships, Josephinum’s Future Leader Scholarship Program, and/or financial aid. Josephinum requests that incoming students seeking financial aid please complete the Tax Credit submission process through the organizations listed below. This ensures that Josephinum can maintain its financial generosity, enabling Josephinum to continue to provide high-quality education for all. 

Future Leaders Scholarship Program awards are available and granted to a select group of incoming Freshmen applicants who meet academic and financial criteria and successfully fulfill the necessary requirements.

Families may be eligible for Josephinum financial aid and can learn what aid is available by submitting their most recent family tax information to the Admissions Department (
