Earning College Credit While in High School

Beginning with the Class of 2025, we partnered with City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) to provide seniors with access to several "colloquial" (informal, conversational) programs for high school students to earn college credit while still in high school. These programs, collectively known as Early College, include Dual Credit and Dual Enrollment, allowing students to take college courses and earn credit towards their high school diploma and a future college degree.

Students entering their senior year, who are on track to graduate, and meet the grade point average requirements are eligible to participate in the program. An overview of the program is shared during junior year so students can adequately plan on if/how they choose to participate during their senior year.

This program provides seniors with the opportunity to begin transitioning from the high school environment into the “real world” becoming more equipped to achieve their post-graduation goals.
