Wellness Spaces
Spaces for Wellness, Creativity, and Care
Makerspace
The Makerspace is a hands-on, creative environment where students can explore their imagination and problem-solving skills. This flexible space encourages exploration of STEM activities, such as building, engineering, and math-based art projects like symmetry designs. Students are given the freedom to create, design, and innovate while building confidence, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.

Calming Room
Stress and anxiety affect both students and staff. To provide support, the Student Services Department created the Calming Room in 2023. This space is designed as a safe and supportive environment where students and teachers can regulate their emotions, reduce stress, and reset when overwhelmed.
The room’s colors, elements, and sensory-friendly design help minimize negative stimuli while promoting calm through visual, auditory, and tactile experiences. The goal is to provide a supportive environment that encourages emotional regulation, de-escalation, and a fresh emotional reset.

Wellness Room
In 2025, Student Services introduced the Wellness Room. This designated triage area provides a quiet and safe space for students who are feeling unwell—such as experiencing headaches, stomachaches, or other minor symptoms. The room allows students to rest and wait comfortably until a parent or guardian can pick them up.
Importantly, the Wellness Room also serves as a separation space to help prevent the spread of illness, supporting the health and well-being of all students and staff.
