Entrance Exam (HSPT) Class of 2030

Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heard is hosting the Catholic High School Entrance Exam (HSPT) on campus Saturday, December 6th at 8:30 a.m.
Students who wish to attend a Catholic high school in Chicago should plan to take the Catholic High School Entrance Exam (also known as the HSPT), which will be held at Josephinum on Saturday, December 6th at 8:30am. Registration for this test opens November 21st and closes on December 4th.
We do not charge an exam fee or registration fee for this test. If you take the test at Josephinum, it is free of charge. If you plan on attending Josephinum in the fall, it is highly recommended that you test here with us, as priority consideration is extended to Josephinum testers.

Josephinum will offer a time and a half accommodation on the entrance exam for students with a designated IEPs or 504 plans. If a student is seeking this necessary accommodation, please submit the official IEP/504 documentation to [email protected] no later than December 4th.

- We ask that testers arrive between 7:45 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. and check in at the Main Lobby.
- Please bring two #2 pencils with a working eraser.
- Students are free to bring a water bottle. No other food or drink will be permitted.
- Testing will take approximately 3 hours. Testing students are allowed to bring their cell phone as they will have a designated break to reach out to their ride and give a more specific time regarding when they expect to finish the test. Phones must be off and put away completely during testing.
- Calculators and translators are not permitted for this test. Scratch paper will be provided.
