Performing Arts
The Josephinum Performing Arts program is unlike any other. It is not afraid to push past the traditional boundaries of high school theater and to actively seek out powerful works that have relevance for our diverse community. Our theater students are not only actors, but playrights, set designers, casting agents and critics. They learn skills to not only act in plays but to be speak confidently in front of audiences, push their own limits and get outside of their comfort zones to grow and develop as empowered young women.
Drama courses provided at the Jo include Speech and Debate, Movement for Actors, Script Analysis and Acting Studio. There is also an extra-curricular Drama Club is open to all.

Fall Fine Arts Musical - 2019
As part of the 2019 Fall Fine Arts Showcase, senior IB Theatre students write, directed and performed two 10-minute children's musicals.

Classic Shakespeare thriller performed by our 9th - 11th grader theatre students.
Ubu Roi - WInter 2019
Timely satire written by Alfred Jarry and adapted by David Fehr, Jo's Fine Arts department head.
Lapin Lapin - Spring 2018
A delightful comedy by acclaimed French playwright and actor Coliene Serreau.
Wanderful Witches - Winter 2018
Part of Josephinum Children's Theatre Project., featuring three short fairy tales all written, directed and performed by the IB Theatre Seniors.
