ACHIEVING SUCCESS THROUGH ADVANCED ACADEMICS
The legacy of Josephinum Academy for 130 years has always been a challenging college-preparatory curriculum in a faith-filled all-girls environment. The education we provide prepares our young women for success in college, a career, and life’s challenges--while adhering to the Sacred Heart goals and criteria.
Beginning with our incoming 2020-21 class we will be moving away from the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. The class of June, 2021 will be our last graduating IB seniors.
Read more about this transition in the letter from our school principal, Colleen Schrantz and our school President, Dr. Patti Tuomey.
As we move away from the rigidity of the IB structure we will continue to apply its core principles of critical thinking and a hands-on approach to learning. We remain committed to all of our students’ personal growth – all graduates will have the opportunity to prepare for success with a college-preparatory curriculum that includes AP and/or dual-enrollment class offerings.
Now and in the years to come, Jo girls will always be equipped with the skills that differentiate them from their peers, positioned for success in college and beyond, and making a positive impact on our world.
