Josephinum Academy students, families, faculty and community members celebrated the school's arts program on Tuesday, November 14. The Children's Theatre Project and Small Works art exhibition showcased work by student actors and artists.
David Fehr, Fine Arts Chair, coordinated the Children's Theatre Project, in which drama students in the Senior IB Theatre class wrote, directed and performed three fairy tales.

Student groups presented afternoon productions for elementary school children and repeated the performances for parents and friends that evening.
Visual Arts Program Director, Joe Lauer, said three awards were given to students who participated in the juried Small Works visual arts exhibition. Twenty students submitted mixed media work in the show.
Award winners were announced on November 29.
Teacher and Staff Award - $50 - Yuritza Stanley (Sophomore) - Mixed Media Artwork - "She Plays the Patterns of Her Life"
Public Vote Award - $50 - Jazmin Montes (Sophomore) - Oil on Canvas - "The Wolf"
Grand Prize - $100 - Ana Gonzalez (Junior - IB Art Student) - Acrylic on Canvas - "Self Portrait"
Artistic Spirit Award - Laura Armas (Junior - IB Art Student) - Watercolor on Paper (both) - "Suffocated Nature" and "Juried Art Show Poster"
