Josephinum Academy has been educating and empowering young women in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood since 1890 and we remain dedicated to this mission: educating young women for college, careers, and community.

As a pioneering urban Catholic school exclusively for young women, Josephinum will evolve into an innovative and unprecedented Leadership Academy for Young Women. This transformation will encompass leadership training, mentorship programs, expansive exposure through increased internships and job placement opportunities.
Josephinum graduates are critical thinkers, risk-takers, justice oriented, and globally minded. They will emerge as the bold, empathetic leaders that our city – and our world – needs now more than ever.
