On Thursday, April 29 at 5:00 P.M., the Josephinum community celebrated our students with a virtual event in lieu of the traditional annual Spring Luncheon. "Planting the Seeds of Opportunity," was a tremendous success, raising a record-breaking $225,000 for student scholarships and financial aid. The program in its entirety can be viewed on the event website and contributions are still welcome.
This year, we took a special focus on the work of Helen Bruns Ryan, Chair Emerita, recognizing her vision and dedication to the Josephinum Community for the past forty years. Helen has not only planted the seeds of opportunity for over 40 graduating classes of Chicagoland's young women, but has cultivated, nurtured, and seen our students begin to plant their own seeds of opportunity. Hear from Helen about her journey and meet some of the Jo graduates whose lives she impacted so greatly in the below event video.
This fabulous virtual event took the place of our beloved annual Scholarship Gala on Friday, October 2. We are so grateful to the many people that supported, contributed to and attended this special and very successful evening. Thanks to you, we can continue our mission of educating our Jo Girls Without Limits! If you missed the live party, you can still watch the event video and your generous birthday gifts are still welcome and very much appreciated!
