Athletics teach values such as discipline, dedication, and leadership. These lessons contribute to lifelong learning and personal growth, making participation in Josephinum athletics an integral part of the educational experience.

Josephinum Academy is a member of the Chicago Prep Conference and the Illinois High School Association (IHSA). Our teams compete against both conference and non-conference schools, giving student-athletes opportunities to challenge themselves and grow through competition.
BEFORE YOU TRY OUT
Ready to take the court?
Athletes are required, per IHSA, to complete a physical prior to participating in team tryouts.
Physical Examination Requirements
Take the appropriate form to any registered doctor to conduct the physical examination. Once completed, bring the form to your team tryout session or submit it to the Athletic Director.
Please note: Freshmen physicians count as the sports physical.
